Practice

Practice is the part of Kyonote that asks you questions instead of telling you things. Every notebook has one pool of cards and questions, built from the files you put in it — and it starts building the moment you add the first file, before you press anything.

One pool per notebook, and it grows as the notebook does

How it works

  1. Add a file to a notebook. Kyonote reads it and starts a starter set of cards and questions.
  2. Open the notebook and tap Practice.
  3. Pick how you want to be asked — Flashcards, a Quiz, or a Mock exam.

There's no curriculum and no level 1 you have to finish before level 2. The pool is a pool: it grows when you add files, and Kyonote picks what to ask you from all of it.

How to actually use it

  • Do a short set most days. You get a few sets a day for free, which is deliberately about the size of a good daily habit.
  • Add files as you go. A notebook you feed all term is worth more than one you fill the night before, because the pool gets deeper every time.
  • Let it choose. If you don't know where to start, start a set and let Kyonote pick — that's what it's for.

What it costs

Practising is free within your daily sets. Generating a new set of cards and questions spends a few credits from your pot, and one set covers both flashcards and quiz questions — you're not charged twice for the same material. See plans and billing.

Pair it with the other tools

  • Listen to the podcast first to get the shape of a topic, then practise it.
  • Watch the ring on mastery move as you go.
  • When you want the real thing, sit a mock exam.
