Flashcards

A Kyonote flashcard deck is built from the files in your notebook — the key terms and ideas, ready to review. The trick to flashcards isn't reading the answer; it's the moment of trying to remember it. That effort is what makes it stick.

How it works

Pick a notebook, tap Flashcards, and Kyonote pulls the important terms and ideas into a deck. For each card:

  1. Read the front and try to answer in your head — out loud is even better.
  2. Flip the card to check.
  3. Mark Got it if you knew it, or Again if you didn't.

Cards you mark Again come back around so you see them more often. Cards you've got settle down.

How to actually use it

  • Short, frequent sessions beat one long cram. Five minutes a few times a day does more than an hour the night before.
  • Be honest with Again. The hard cards are the ones worth repeating — don't mark Got it just to move on.
  • Say the answer out loud. Forcing yourself to produce the answer is the whole point.

Pair it with the other tools

  • Start with a podcast to get the shape of a topic, then drill it with flashcards.
  • When the deck feels easy, run a quiz on the same notebook to find anything that's still shaky.
