Support

Something not working, or a question about your account? Start here — and if the answer is not below, email us.

Get in touch

Email [email protected] and a human will read it. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead — and if it involves a specific notebook or generated episode, include its name. We answer as fast as we can, and always within a few business days.

Your account

You can change your email, display name, and language from Account inside the app. If you cannot sign in, use the password-reset link on the sign-in screen; if the reset email does not arrive within a few minutes, check spam and then email us — we can confirm whether an account exists for that address.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app: Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your notebooks, uploaded material, and everything generated from them. It cannot be undone. ⚠️ Deleting your account does NOT cancel an active subscription — subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so you must cancel separately in iOS Settings (see below). Cancel first, then delete, or you will keep being charged for a subscription with no account attached.

Subscriptions & billing

Kyonote Pro is billed by Apple through your App Store account, not by us directly. That means we cannot cancel, pause, or refund it on your behalf — only you can, and only Apple can issue refunds. To cancel: open iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Kyonote → Cancel Subscription. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. For a refund, use Apple's own flow at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you were charged and Pro did not activate in the app, tap Restore Purchases on the Kyonote Pro screen first — that resolves it in almost every case. If it does not, email us with the date of purchase and we will investigate.

Credits

Generating podcasts, audiobooks, flashcards, quizzes, and exams costs credits, because each one runs real AI and text-to-speech work. Pro includes a credit allowance that refreshes every billing month, and you can buy a top-up pack at any time if you run out mid-session. Top-up credits are added on top of your allowance. If a generation fails, the credits for it are returned to you automatically — if you ever see credits deducted for something that did not produce a result, tell us and we will restore them.

Audio & offline playback

Episodes and audiobooks play in the background and on the lock screen, and you can download them to listen without a connection. Downloads live on the device they were made on, so they do not follow you to a second phone. If a download fails, the most common cause is low storage — free up space and try again. Note that a downloaded episode stays on the device after you sign out, so if you share a device, remove downloads before handing it over.

When a generation looks wrong

Kyonote generates study material from what you upload, so the quality of the output tracks the quality and structure of the source. Scanned or photographed pages with no selectable text are the usual culprit — if a PDF is images rather than text, there is nothing for Kyonote to read. Very long documents are worked through in sections. If an output is clearly wrong rather than merely imperfect, send us the notebook name and what you expected; that is exactly the feedback that improves the model prompts.

Privacy & your data

We do not sell your data and we do not train AI models on your uploaded study material for other users. You can export or delete your data at any time. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and privacy-specific questions go to [email protected].
